Meet Jennifer, CoFounder and Managing Attorney
What does your job entail?
I do not have ‘typical’ day. As a leader of a growing law firm, I wear a lot of hats. I am a licensed Colorado attorney and spend time working files, representing clients in court, and providing legal analysis for our client. I’m also involved in managing the general business of the firm, hiring, financial decisions, appearing and speaking at conferences, and the day to day operations of the firm.
However, by far two of my favorite aspects of my job are the people I am able to interact with and learn from. These include, the IDEA Law Group (ILG) attorneys and staff, my colleagues and clients that I have been fortunate enough to have met over the years in this industry.

I most identify with Access. When Danette and I started the firm, one of the tenets that we wanted to build ILG on was to create a firm that was different and stood out from the traditional firms we had been associated with in the past. We wanted to create a firm where we were open to all ideas and input from the team. We’ve worked hard to make sure that the leadership of the firm was accessible and available to every employee. That tenet of our firm has created numerous opportunities for growth, efficiency, and strength because of input and ideas of the whole ILG team.
How would you describe your team?
Outstanding! I am so proud of how the team advocates for our clients’ best interests while treating those we interact with, who in most cases going through an extremely difficult time, with dignity, compassion, and respect.
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career in this industry?
Get involved! I have learned more from joining committees and various industry groups than anything in my career.
What is your favorite productivity hack?
I plan my day the night before….and I make priority lists.
In terms of successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of?
Being a cofounder of ILG is what I am most proud of in my career.
Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.
I spent two weeks backpacking by myself in the Colorado mountains. Actually, I wasn’t completely alone, I had my dog, Willow, with me.
Meet Danette Baldacci, CoFounder and Managing Attorney
What does your job entail?
Onboarding, audits, and escalations are my daily work, but I do a little bit of everything – primarily on the business side of the law firm, but occasionally on a legal project. My favorite job is creating efficiencies and streamlining process for our team.

How would you describe your team?
The bomb!!!
Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
My husband. 31 years ago, when we first got married, he was not a fan of my teaching salary 😊
Who motivates you?
My Lord and Savior! Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Colossians 3:23
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career in this industry?
Welcome to the Jungle! We’ve got fun and games!
What is your favorite productivity hack?
No social media.
What’s your secret talent no one knows about?
I am great at “winning” silent auctions 😊.
Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.
I love my grandsons and my dogs most. Actually, everyone probably knows that one.
My two best friends are the same ones I have had since elementary school. We live in 3 different states and we TALK on the phone (not text or Facetime), usually with wine, every Wednesday night.
